2008
I’ve visited the Suffolk Coast on the East of England, regularly for years. Its’ abundance of historical churches, ruined abbeys and monasteries and old stone foundations of many different kinds has inadvertently influenced some of my work.
Although these painting are purely abstract, I think for me, they intuitively demonstrate signs of metaphorical connection with the Suffolk I love.
This is of course, only one possible interpretation of the work, and hopefully the viewer will make his, or her own mind as to what they are about. Essentially, they are abstract paintings that were painted without any preconceived notion of reality.
